You CAN Do It!!
New Year’s Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, looking forward to the year ahead. It’s a time to think about the changes we want or need to make and really make an effort to follow through on those changes. If you really put your mind to something you can achieve/reach your goal. Here are top 10 New Year’s Resolutions that are worth thinking about for 2015.
1. Fit in Fitness
Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to get ourselves back into shape. You can do it!!! Exercising on a regular basis has been associated with more health benefits than anything else.. Studies show that it reduces the risk of some cancers, helps achieve and maintain weight loss and enhances your mood. Exercise keeps you healthy and makes you look and feel better. Why not make 2015 the time to start getting in shape?
2. Tame the Bulge
The Christmas turkey has been demolished and you’re almost finished the last box of Quality Street chocolates and now it’s time to shed those few pounds that you want to just disappear. Being fit and healthy are two keys things in life so it is not surprising to find that weight loss is one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions. Setting reasonable goals and staying focused are the two most important factors in sticking with a weight loss program. Fresh food and vegetables, plenty of water and regular exercise will do the trick.
3. Spend More Time with Family & Friends
Every year, this is usually one of peoples main resolutions. Whether you have a hectic lifestyle because of school, a college course or work, the people in our lives are always are main priority so why not make an extra effort to head home on the weekends and make plans to meet up with friends for an evening of drinks and chats?
4. Quit Smoking
Even if you’ve tried to quit before and failed, don’t let it get you down. Another year, another chance to kick the habit. On average, smokers try about four times before they quit for good. Why not make 2015 the year to start enjoying the rest of your smoke-free life!?
5. Get Out of Debt
Stressed out over cash, IOU’s and money in general for the year? Well 2015 can be the year to get a handle on your finances. No more debt and time to start saving for that pair of Louboutins that you’ve wanted for months or that weekend away with the girls to Milan that you’ve been dying to go on.
6. Enjoy Life More and the Little Things
Yes a lot of us have a hectic lifestyle, for some of us it can be stressful at times too. All the more reason to make 2015 the year that you start ‘enjoying life more’. It’s time to be happier and healthier. Why not get out and try something new and crazy? Take up skydiving as a hobby even? I did and I lived to tell the tell so why not?
7. Quit Drinking
Ok so I know a lot of you (most of you being Irish) won’t want to consider this one BUT for a healthier lifestyle and to SAVE up for that weekend away it might be worth considering. Am I right? Most drinkers may fail to quit cold turkey so gradually reducing the amount you drink on a weekly basis is the best way to start.
8. Be More Organised
Whether you want to be more organised when it comes to college work, your job or your lifestyle in general there are plenty of tips and resources out there that will you get you organised in no time.
9. Learn Something New
Whether you’re on the look out for a new dream job, or you want to start a new college course or even learn a new language, learning something new always gives people a great sense of accomplishment. Another thing to tick off your bucket list so stay motivated and keep working to reach your goals.
10. Help Others
Whether you choose to help build houses in a third world country, work with a charity or volunteer at an elephant conservation center in Africa for a month next summer, there are plenty of people and organisations that need your help. So why not take the first step and look into some organised that you might be interested in volunteering with.
So there you have it, 10 resolutions to consider for 2015. They can definitely be done with a little motivation and support. Goals and resolutions are set to be reached.
