Fashion Boss Advice: Below are 5 shopping tips that I hope will change the way you shop. I am known to go into almost every clothes store on (for example; Grafton Street), I’ll take everything I see and love to a changing room, I won’t look at price tags and when my mind is made up and I’ve fallen head over heels for an outfit it will (of course) cost far too much and then I end up leaving completely crushed. So….to avoid this happening to you, try out the steps below and let me know how you get on and more importantly tell me what you buy and from where! ❤
1. Stick to stores where you feel confident that you can afford most of what they sell. (My favourites would be Topshop, River Island, Zara and New Look)
That way you won’t fall in love with something only to find that it costs more than a month’s rent.
2. Plan your shopping spree.
Instead of wandering aimlessly through the aisles try to have an idea of what you want to buy and head straight to that section of the store. It’s a waste of time wandering around aisles that you have no interest in and you end up missing out on the really good stuff.
3. Do two laps around the store and then head straight to the dressing room.
The first lap is about getting a feel for the store. Grab whatever jumps out at you. The second lap can and should be a bit slower. Now that you’ve already gone through once, new pieces will begin to reveal themselves.
4. Make fast decisions in the dressing room.
Put something on and if you don’t immediately say to yourself, “I LOVE this. I look amazing!” then it’s a no no! Never buy anything you don’t instantly love.
5. Don’t ask for a second opinion.
I am forever asking for second opinions but it is best to go with your gut. You know best and after all you will be the one wearing the outfit. Who cares what your friend thinks? You’re the one who has to pay for it and wear it so just go for it.
I hope you find these Fashionable Tips helpful. Try them out and let me know how you get on! 🙂 ❤
